TigerHype Editorial Standards
TigerHype is an independent publication focused on LSU Football. Our goal is to publish useful, accurate and clearly sourced coverage for Tiger fans while separating verified reporting from analysis, commentary and fan culture.
Accuracy and verification
We aim to verify factual claims before publication and to rely on primary or authoritative sources whenever they are available. Examples include LSU Athletics, conference and NCAA materials, official schedules and rosters, team or coach statements, verified records and direct reporting. When a report depends on another news organization, reporter or recruiting service, we attribute that information rather than presenting it as our own reporting.
Sourcing and attribution
Readers should be able to understand where important factual information came from. We identify sources in the article or link to them when practical. We do not knowingly publish rumors as confirmed facts. Information that remains uncertain should be described as unconfirmed, developing or attributed to the source making the claim.
News, analysis and opinion
TigerHype covers breaking news, recruiting, rosters, games, history and fan culture. Straight-news reporting should distinguish confirmed facts from interpretation. Analysis and opinion may include judgment, predictions or criticism, but factual claims inside those pieces are still expected to meet the same sourcing and accuracy standards.
Corrections and updates
When we identify a material factual error, we aim to correct it promptly. Living pages such as roster, recruiting, injury, schedule and season trackers may be updated as official information changes. Significant corrections should be made transparently when the nature of the error could materially affect a reader's understanding.
AI-assisted work
TigerHype may use artificial-intelligence tools to assist with research organization, transcription, drafting, editing, metadata, image concepts or workflow efficiency. AI output is not treated as a source of truth. Factual claims intended for publication should be checked against appropriate sources, and editorial responsibility remains with TigerHype.
Independence and conflicts
TigerHype is independent and is not an official publication of LSU, LSU Athletics, the SEC or the NCAA. Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to satisfy teams, conferences, advertisers, sponsors or other outside interests. Commercial relationships should not determine editorial conclusions.
Accountability
Questions about accuracy, sourcing or editorial practices can be sent to tigerhype101@gmail.com. Readers may also use TigerHype's Contact page to flag an issue for review.
