TigerHype Corrections Policy

TigerHype wants its LSU Football coverage to be accurate, current and fair. When a material factual error is identified, our goal is to review the issue and correct the record as quickly and clearly as practical.

How to request a correction

Send correction requests to tigerhype101@gmail.com. Please include the article title or URL, the statement you believe is incorrect, the correct information, and any supporting source or documentation that can help us verify the issue.

What we review

We review claimed errors involving names, dates, statistics, scores, roster information, quotations, recruiting status, injuries, schedules, historical records and other factual assertions. Disagreement with an opinion, prediction or editorial conclusion is not necessarily a factual error, although factual claims supporting that opinion are still subject to correction.

How corrections are handled

If we determine that a material factual statement is wrong, we update the article. When the error is significant enough that readers could have been materially misled, we aim to make the correction apparent in the article rather than silently changing the substance. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting or style fixes may be corrected without a formal note when they do not change meaning.

Living pages and routine updates

TigerHype maintains living pages for information that changes during the season, including schedules, rosters, injuries, recruiting, transfer activity, rankings and season trackers. Updating those pages to reflect newly released official information is a routine update and is not treated as a correction unless the earlier published information was inaccurate when it was posted.

Developing stories

Breaking stories can change quickly. When confirmed information develops after publication, we may update the article, headline, timing details or context. A later development is not itself evidence that the original report was incorrect, but any factual mistake discovered during the update should be corrected under this policy.
