TigerHype Corrections Policy

TigerHype wants its LSU Football coverage to be accurate and transparent. When we determine that a published article contains a material factual error, we correct it as quickly as practical and make the correction clear to readers.

What we correct

Corrections may include inaccurate names, dates, scores, statistics, quotations, roster information, recruiting status, attribution, rules, schedules or other factual claims that materially change a reader's understanding of the story.

Corrections versus routine updates

TigerHype maintains living pages for schedules, rosters, injuries, recruiting, rankings and other fast-changing topics. Adding newly confirmed information to those pages is normally an update, not a correction. A correction is appropriate when previously published information was materially wrong or misleading.

How corrections are displayed

For meaningful factual errors, the article should be corrected and a note should explain the substance of the change. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting or style fixes that do not alter meaning may be corrected without a formal note.

Clarifications

If the original wording was technically accurate but incomplete or reasonably open to misunderstanding, TigerHype may add context or a clarification rather than label the change a correction.

Reporting a possible error

Readers who believe something is inaccurate should contact TigerHype and include the article title or URL, the specific statement in question and, when possible, a reliable source supporting the correction. We review credible requests and update the article when the evidence supports a change.

No silent rewriting of material errors

TigerHype does not intend to conceal meaningful mistakes by quietly replacing them. When a material error is corrected, transparency is part of the correction.
