BREAKING: Trey’Dez Green, Princewill Umanmielen Available for LSU at Auburn

LSU just got two major reinforcements for Saturday morning on the Plains.

Tight end Trey’Dez Green and edge rusher Princewill Umanmielen were not listed on the SEC’s initial availability report for LSU at Auburn, an important all-clear for two players whose status carried real weight on opposite sides of the ball.

Quick Answer

The SEC’s initial LSU–Auburn availability report released Wednesday, October 21, does not list Trey’Dez Green, Princewill Umanmielen or Jackson Harris, indicating all three are available for LSU’s Saturday, October 24 road game. LSU still lists Whit Weeks, Phillip Wright III, Charles Ross II and Dashawn Spears as out, with Richard Anderson doubtful. Auburn lists Tai Buster and Hunter Herring out and Saint Farrior questionable.

What the initial LSU–Auburn availability report says

The official SEC Football Availability Reports page published the first status list for Saturday’s matchup. 247Sports’ LSU report also confirmed that Green, Umanmielen and Harris are expected to be good to go.

LSU availability status

  • OUT — linebacker Whit Weeks

  • OUT — wide receiver Phillip Wright III

  • OUT — linebacker Charles Ross II

  • OUT — safety Dashawn Spears

  • DOUBTFUL — defensive tackle Richard Anderson

Auburn availability status

  • OUT — offensive lineman Tai Buster

  • OUT — tight end Hunter Herring

  • QUESTIONABLE — defensive lineman Saint Farrior

Why Trey’Dez Green’s return matters to LSU’s offense

Green gives LSU a matchup piece the offense has been missing. His size can change red-zone spacing, help stress linebackers down the seam and give the Tigers more flexibility when they want to shift between heavier personnel and spread formations without substituting.

The timing matters. Auburn can challenge an offense with pressure and tight coverage, and Green offers LSU another answer in the middle of the field. His return does not automatically fix every offensive problem, but it expands the call sheet and makes LSU harder to diagnose before the snap.

Why Princewill Umanmielen changes LSU’s pass-rush outlook

Umanmielen’s absence from the report removes a significant concern after he left LSU’s previous game. Against an Auburn offense playing without offensive lineman Tai Buster, LSU now has one of its most disruptive edge defenders available to attack protection and compress the pocket.

That matters beyond sacks. Consistent edge pressure can force earlier throws, help LSU’s secondary and keep Auburn from settling into comfortable down-and-distance situations. Umanmielen’s availability gives the Tigers a much stronger chance to dictate the game defensively.

Which LSU players are still unavailable?

The good news on Green and Umanmielen does not erase LSU’s losses. Whit Weeks remains out at linebacker, while Charles Ross II and Dashawn Spears also leave the Tigers thinner on defense. Phillip Wright III remains unavailable at receiver, and Richard Anderson’s doubtful designation makes his participation unlikely unless his status improves.

Jackson Harris is also off the report after saying he was ready to play. Read TigerHype’s earlier Harris update for the full context on his return.

What changes before Saturday?

This is the initial report, not the final word. LSU and Auburn will submit updated availability lists Thursday and Friday, followed by a final game-day update. Any status change would supersede Wednesday’s designation.
