Kayshon Boutte Illegal Sports Betting Scheme

Former LSU football wide receiver Kayshon Boutte, aged 21, was arrested for his involvement in an illegal sports gaming scheme. Boutte is accused of placing over 8,900 sports bets, including at least seventeen on college football games, and six on LSU football, between April 6, 2022, and May 7, 2023. He used an alias to circumvent age restrictions for gambling in Louisiana. Boutte faces charges of computer fraud and gaming prohibited for persons under 21. The investigation is ongoing and may lead to additional charges. Boutte was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2023 but had limited playtime in his rookie season.
